Craft and Draft Beer at Alegre Pub in San Pedro la Laguna

Hoppy, heavy, light, lusty – the wide world of craft beer offers an exotic option for every taste.
A few years back, beer lovers had to trek to Antigua for craft beer, which, brewed in smaller batches than regular beer, is subject to greater quality control and has a wider range of flavor. Now ten varieties of craft beer are only minutes away at Alegre Pub in San Pedro’s zona viva.
Cadejo, from El Salvador, features Belgium Wheat, Honey Ale, American Pale Ale, Red Ale and Irish Stout. Ocho Reales hails from Monterrey, Mexico. Ambar, one of the finest craft beers on the planet, is imported from Costa Rica. And Utz Pin Pin, distinguished by coffee, chocolate and spices, is from Guatemala.

Draft Beer Too
Alegre Pub is San Pedro’s only bar that serves beer on tap: Gallo dark and light and Moza. Fresher-tasting than canned or bottle beer, it can be purchased by the mug or even by the litro if you bring your own container. Cadejo will also be available on tap soon.
So the next time you feel like tasting something new in the way of a cold one, head over to Alegre Pub and explore the many varieties of craft beer from around the world.
