New Year´s Eve Parties in San Pedro la Laguna 2013

Look for New Year´s Eve Parties all over San Pedro, Lake Atitlan, in December. El Barrio is only one — I´ll post info on other New Year´s Eve Events as they are confirmed.

New Bar in San Pedro – Bar Sublime

Opening in December in the zona viva, Bar Sublime is in the place formerly known as Freedom Bar. Grand opening first week of December. See Bar Sublime.

This Saturday and Sunday in San Pedro. On Saturday,

El Barrio has all-you-can-eat brunch from 10 AM-2PM.

Today is also Fe’s Fun Day at Bar Fe in the zona viva, with daquiris, discos and DJs from 1 PM until late.

Smokin’ Joes’ BBQ at The Deep End Bar is the main event on Sundays. Starts at noon, but arrive early because last week they ran out of food at 2:30.

This Weekend in San Pedro la Laguna

Special events and general partying on Friday in San Pedro Laguna today feature F*ucked Up Friday’s at Alegre Pub on that side of town. Tequila shots are Q4, and beer is discounted too.

Over on Seventh Avenue on Friday, check out the Gourmet Curry Night at The Clover.

Tomorrow, look for Saturday events at El Barrio’s all-you-can-eat brunch (10 AM-2 PM) and Bar Fe’s Fun Day (early until late). And Sunday’s the day of Smokin’ Joes’ BBQ at The Deep End Bar.

New! Pullman Bus Service Between San Pedro la Laguna and Xela

Shuttles from Xela to San Pedro do not go directly to San Pedro, regardless of what the ticket agent tells you at the office. And the chicken bus can be a rough ride.

But now there’s daily Pullman bus service between San Pedro and Xela, a far more comfortable experience. See San Pedro News.

It’s looking like a big high season this year, from late 2013-mid 2014,

so make hostel or hotel reservations in advance if possible.

Current recommendations: Mr. Mullet’s Hoste, Hotel Fe, Casa Atitlan and Hotel Mikaso.

El Barrio Bar’s Wednesday night Pub Quiz starts at 7:30.

Lots of improvements since the bar was remodeled over the
past tow months, including the Jack Daniels Lounge out back and a cozier fire pit.
